Creative Practitioner – Digital Storytelling

Role:

Scottish Book Trust is a national charity changing lives through reading and writing. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to appoint a Creative Practitioner who will work part time for 6 months to deliver a Digital Storytelling project based within a library in North Ayrshire.

Scottish Book Trust is a national charity changing lives through reading and writing. We champion the benefits of reading and writing for pleasure and work for a Scotland where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive through literacy.

This Digital Storytelling project is based on the methodology developed by the Story Centre, an American organisation that supports individuals and organisations to use storytelling and participatory media for reflection, education, and social change. The Creative Practitioner will also be required to deliver a two-day “train the trainer” workshop so that others within the service are able to facilitate a similar programme in the future, ensuring an ongoing legacy of digital storytelling within the locality.
